Los Angeles @ Kansas City
Current Records: Los Angeles 1-1; Kansas City 1-1
What to Know
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers will face off in an AFC West clash at 1 p.m. ET Sept. 26 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The teams split their matchups last year, with Kansas City winning the first 23-20 on the road and Los Angeles taking the second 38-21.
Last week, the Chiefs lost 36-35 to the Baltimore Ravens. One thing holding Kansas City back was the mediocre play of RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who did not have his best game: he fumbled the ball once with only 46 yards rushing.
Speaking of close games: Los Angeles was close but no cigar last week as they fell 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys. No one had a standout game offensively for Los Angeles, but they got one touchdown from WR Mike Williams. QB Justin Herbert ended up with a passer rating of 143.20.
Most of the squad’s points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed nine. K Tristan Vizcaino delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
The Chiefs are the favorite in this one, with an expected 7-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are 0-2 against the spread when favored.
Having both suffered close losses, these teams will no doubt be fighting for every inch to win this one. The teams are out to make things right after dropping matches they were expected to win, so stay tuned to see which squad bounces back.
