The UNC football team will honor its senior class this Saturday when Wofford visits Kenan Stadium. Also among the departing players honored will be junior quarterback Sam Howell, who will likely be leaving the program after the season to enter the NFL Draft.
If you can’t make it to Kenan Stadium in-person this weekend, here’s how to follow the game at home:
Those hoping to listen on the radio with Jones Angell on the call can do so at 97.9 FM and 1360 AM, or by streaming the radio broadcast on Chapelboro.com.
97.9 The Hill’s radio coverage of the game will begin bright and early at 9 a.m. with Inside Carolina Live.
At 11 a.m., the broadcast will shift over to Jones Angell and the Tar Heel Sports Network for their pregame coverage until kickoff. They will also carry postgame coverage for approximately an hour after the conclusion of the game.
After that, the broadcast will immediately shift to coverage of the UNC men’s basketball team’s game against Purdue in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at 4 p.m. Once the basketball coverage is concluded, Paul Connell and Andy Chacos will take over from 97.9 The Hill’s studios to discuss the football game in their postgame show, “On the Heels.” That show is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., depending on the length of the basketball game.
All of these broadcasts will be available live on the radio or by streaming on Chapelboro.com.
Television coverage of the game begins at 12 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the ACC’s Regional Sports Network partners, which for North Carolina is Bally Sports South, formerly known as Fox Sports South. For more information, click here.
What if I don’t have cable?
Those within the regional market can stream the game online at ballysports.com. Those outside the market who wish to stream the game can do so on the Watch ESPN app or online here. Both in-market and out-of-market consumers must enter their TV provider to gain access to the stream.
As of today, the only live TV streaming service to carry Bally Sports South is DirecTV STREAM. The service starts at $69.99 per month.
