Ohio State vs Alabama 2021 Live

No. 3 Ohio State is boarding a plane to Miami as planned on Saturday to face No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, a school spokesman told ESPN on Friday afternoon, officially ending speculation that the biggest game of the season might have to be postponed.

“The plan is to fly down tomorrow,” Buckeyes spokesman Jerry Emig said.

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne also confirmed the Crimson Tide will be traveling, tweeting: “Just got the test results and we are good to go.”

Alabama lands in Miami at 8 p.m. ET Friday, per a school spokesman.

“As I have said all week, the game is on,” College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock said Friday. “Nothing has changed. Alabama’s team will be traveling to Miami tonight, and Ohio State’s guys will be arriving tomorrow. We are looking forward to a great night for college football.”

USA vs Finland Live

The United States will be looking for a little payback just days into the new year when they face off against Finland in the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship semifinals.

These two teams did meet up in a pre-tournament tune-up that saw the Americans win 3-2 backed by two Cole Caufield goals but now it’s go-time.

“I remember it was both of our first games coming into the tournament, and both teams were getting a feel for each other,” said defenseman Ryan Johnson after the U.S. advanced with a quarterfinal win over the Slovaks. “I think both teams have progressed. Watching Finland they look a lot better but, same with us as well. I think it’ll be a good matchup.”

Here’s how to watch the United States and Finland go toe-to-toe with a spot in the gold-medal game on the line.

Canada vs Russia Live

The 2021 World Junior Championship is retreading 2020.In the first semifinal of the night, it’s a rematch of last year’s gold-medal game that saw the Canadians score three unanswered goals to come back and beat the Russians. On Monday, the stakes are high once again as the winner plays for gold and the loser can either win bronze or nothing at all.

These two teams did meet up in a pre-tournament tune-up that saw Canada win but was overshadowed by captain Kirby Dach’s wrist injury causing him to miss the tournament. It should be noted that in that game, the Canadians lone goal (it was a 1-0 finish) was not against Yaroslav Askarov who they’re expected to face on Monday night.

Here’s how to watch Canada and Russia go toe-to-toe with a spot in the gold-medal game on the line.

Garcia vs Campbell Fight

Saturday afternoon (Jan. 2, DAZN, 3 pm ET) from Dallas in the first big main event of 2021, lightweight prospect and rising potential superstar Ryan Garcia will step up the competition in a big way, as he faces former title challenger and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell in a DAZN main event.

This is the sort of fight that not only has the 22-year-old Garcia (20-0, 17 KO) been asking for, but fans have wanted to see the popular social media phenomenon take, and he took it when it got here. Campbell (20-3, 16 KO) is a really solid pro at the very, very least, and still a bona fide contender at 135. It’s a major step up for Garcia, but one he’s asked to get, and one he’s confident about.

Rose Bowl 2021 Live

The 2021 Rose Bowl semifinal looks more like a one-sided nonconference game to open the season. No. 1 Alabama is a 20-point favorite over No. 4 Notre Dame entering the game, according to William Hill Sportsbook, which is the largest spread in the history of the College Football Playoff.

A big win for Alabama would be the only normal thing about the Granddaddy being moved to North Texas. It’s going to be weird watching the Rose Bowl in The House That Jerry Built. There will be Miller Lite signs instead of the San Gabriel Mountains. The famous sunset? Maybe if it’s portrayed on that giant AT&T Stadium video board. The Rose Bowl was moved due to COVID-19 issues in Southern California that would not allow fans – even family members and friends – to attend the game. Everybody made sacrifices this season. The CFP is no different.

Star power is not lacking in this Rose Bowl. The game is likely to feature the Heisman Trophy winner. (Alabama has two finalists and three of the top five vote-getters.) It absolutely is featuring the Butkus Award winner (best linebacker) as well as 10 other All-Americans combined on the two teams.

Alabama is expected to coast to its fifth CFP National Championship in seven seasons … but will it? The only way this season is a success for the Tide is if they win it all. Alabama is not only in competition with Notre Dame but with itself as well. The championship standard in the Nick Saban era started with the 2009 bunch. That was Saban’s only undefeated team. This one is headed that way if it can get past this pesky CFP field.

Sugar Bowl 2021 Live

The Sugar Bowl will be played between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Clemson Tigers on Jan. 1, 2021. The game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The game will determine who goes to the national championship game. The winner of this College Football Playoff game will play the winner of the game between Alabama and Notre Dame.

Ohio State will get a chance at revenge against Clemson after last year’s semifinal game. Clemson beat the Buckeyes, 29-23, to go to the national championship game. The Buckeyes haven’t appeared in the national championship game since the 2014 season, which they won.

This year, Ohio State has only played six games due to the Big Ten Conference’s pandemic-shortened season and some of their games getting canceled because of coronavirus issues. Justin Fields has 1,521 passing yards and 15 touchdown passes in those six games. Trey Sermon, who is coming off of a monster game in the Big Ten championship, leads with 675 rushing yards and has three rushing touchdowns. Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson has 38 catches for 621 yards and five touchdowns. The team will hope to have wide receiver Chris Olave available for this game.

Clemson’s offense is led by Trevor Lawrence. The soon-to-be NFL quarterback missed two games this season because of his own coronavirus issues. Regardless, he still put up 2,753 passing yards and 22 touchdown passes this season. Travis Etienne has 882 rushing yards and Amari Rodgers has 966 receiving yards.

This game also comes with some bulletin board material. Tigers coach Dabo Swinney kept Ohio State out of the top 10 in his final coaches’ poll and has been adamant about a team that has played only six games being left out of the playoff. Ohio State could use that as fuel to propel it in this game.
