Clemson vs Miami Live

The Miami (FL) Hurricanes have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. The Hurricanes and the Clemson Tigers will face off in an ACC battle at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Each of these teams will be battling to keep alive their perfect three-game season.

When you finish with 228 more yards than your opponent like Miami (FL) did two weeks ago, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They claimed a resounding 52-10 win over the Florida State Seminoles at home. That looming 42-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Miami (FL) yet this season. Miami (FL) QB D’Eriq King was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 267 yards on 40 attempts in addition to picking up 65 yards on the ground.

Meanwhile, you can’t lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Clemson’s strategy against the Virginia Cavaliers last week. Clemson strolled past Virginia with points to spare, taking the matchup 41-23. The Tigers’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of QB Trevor Lawrence, who passed for three TDs and 329 yards on 38 attempts in addition to picking up 36 yards on the ground, and RB Travis Etienne, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to catching five passes for one TD and 114 yards.

The Hurricanes are the clear underdogs, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a three-game streak of ATS wins.

A pair of numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Miami (FL) ranks seventh in the nation when it comes to rushing touchdowns, with nine on the season. But the Tigers have yet to allow a single rushing touchdown. We’ll see if their defense can keep the Hurricanes’ running backs out of the end zone.

Buccaneers vs Bears Live

The Chicago Bears may be playing at home again Thursday, but the experts are forecasting a 3.5-point loss. They will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:20 p.m. ET at Soldier Field. Tampa Bay should still be feeling good after a win, while the Bears will be looking to right the ship.

Chicago came up short against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday, falling 19-11. Chicago was their own worst enemy and cost themselves 93 yards in penalties. One thing working slightly against Chicago was the run-of-the-mill game of their most targeted running back, RB David Montgomery, who rushed for 27 yards on ten carries.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay beat the Los Angeles Chargers 38-31 this past Sunday. Tampa Bay QB Tom Brady was slinging it as he passed for five TDs and 369 yards on 46 attempts. Brady ended up with a passer rating of 117.

The Bears are now 3-1 while the Buccaneers sit at 3-1. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Chicago enters the matchup with only three passing touchdowns allowed, which is the best in the league. As for Tampa Bay, they rank second in the NFL when it comes to rushing yards allowed per game, with only 64.3 on average.

Lakers vs Heat Game 4 Live

Things weren’t looking good for the Miami Heat heading into Game 3 of the NBA Finals vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. Fortunately, a knight in shining armor — aka Jimmy Butler — came along and stole a game from the Lakers on Sunday night. The series is Lakers 2-1 heading into Game 4 on Tuesday and the Heat may get some reinforcements in the form of Bam Adebayo. It’s unlikely Goran Dragic returns. Let’s get you ready for Game 4.

Game Time/TV Channel/Streaming

Game 4 on Tuesday will take place at 9:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted on ABC and will be streaming on fuboTV and YouTube TV.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds

Spread: Lakers -7.5
Over/Under: 219.5
Moneyline: Lakers (-305), Heat (+250)

The Best Bet: Heat +7.5 (-114)

After watching Game 3, I have a feeling the Lakers won’t be able to come out on Tuesday and just get back to dominating. Butler won’t allow it and if Bam is able to return, that would be a big boost for the front court. That same front court did a great job neutralizing Anthony Davis in Game 3 and if I’m Erik Spoelstra, that’s the game plan moving forward. If you can stop AD, you can win the series. So even if Miami doesn’t get that win to tie the series in Game 4, I think the game will be competitive. A close loss seems like the worst case. Best case is you catch another Heat win. Just be sure to hedge during the game depending on which way things go.

Patriots vs Chiefs Live

The Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots are even-steven against one another since September of 2017 (2-2), but not for long. Kansas City will take on the Patriots at 7:05 p.m. ET on Monday at home. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Kansas City has to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.

How To Watch

Kansas City ran circles around the Baltimore Ravens last Monday, and the extra yardage (517 yards vs. 228 yards) paid off. Kansas City bagged a 34-20 win. Their QB Patrick Mahomes was on fire, passing for four TDs and 385 yards on 42 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Mahomes ended up with a passer rating of 133.50.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between New England and the Las Vegas Raiders last week was still a pretty decisive one as the Patriots wrapped it up with a 36-20 victory at home. Among those leading the charge for New England was RB Rex Burkhead, who punched in two rushing touchdowns in addition to snatching one receiving TD.

Special teams collected 12 points for New England. K Nick Folk delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Kansas City is now a perfect 3-0 while New England sits at 2-1. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: Kansas Cities haven’t thrown an interception yet this season. But the Patriots enter the game having picked the ball off four times, good for second in the league. We’ll see which of these strengths — offense or defense — will win out.

Odds

The Chiefs are a big 11-point favorite against the Patriots, according to the latest NFL odds.

The oddsmakers right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as an 11-point spread, and stayed right there.

Falcons vs Packers Live

The Green Bay Packers will take on the Atlanta Falcons at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday at home. We’ve got a mismatch of fortunes here as Green Bay is currently riding a three-game winning streak while Atlanta is crashing in on three straight losses.

The Packers were able to grind out a solid win over the New Orleans Saints this past Sunday, winning 37-30. Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 283 yards on 32 attempts. Rodgers ended up with a passer rating of 124.90.

Special teams collected 13 points for Green Bay. Kicker K Mason Crosby delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Meanwhile, Atlanta didn’t finish too far behind, but the team still lost 30-26 to the Chicago Bears this past Sunday. Atlanta was up 26-10 at the end of the third quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Their loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of RB Todd Gurley, who punched in one rushing touchdown, and RB Brian Hill, who punched in one rushing touchdown. Hill had had trouble finding his footing against the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction.

The Packers are the favorite in this one, with an expected 7-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a three-game streak of ATS wins.

Green Bay’s victory brought them up to 3-0 while the Falcons’ defeat pulled them down to a reciprocal 0-3. Two numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Green Bay has yet to throw a single interception. As for Atlanta, they enter the game with six forced fumbles, which is the best in the NFL.

Odds

The Packers are a solid 7-point favorite against the Falcons, according to the latest NFL odds.

Ravens vs Washington Live

After a tough loss to the Chiefs on “Monday Night Football,” Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will make the 40-mile trek to face Washington, who is also coming off of a tough Week 3 loss. Baltimore is a whopping 13-point favorite, according to William Hill Sportsbook. The oddsmakers have set the over/under at 45. All eight of our CBS Sports NFL experts have picked the Ravens to win while improving to 3-1 on the season.

Before we break down Sunday’s game, here’s how you can follow the action in real time.

Preview

The Ravens looked dominant during the season’s first two weeks, defeating the Browns and Texans by a combined score of 71-22. But on Monday night, Baltimore looked extremely mortal, as Jackson failed reach 100 passing yards. While Jackson missed several open receivers, he was also the victim of several dropped passes that contributed to Baltimore’s 34-20 loss. Despite Monday’s setback, Jackson is off to a solid start, with five touchdown passes and no interceptions through three games. He is also the Ravens leading rusher, as his 32 attempts are six more than the Ravens’ next leading rusher, Mark Ingram. And while Baltimore’s defense is top-10 in the league against the run, it is just 23rd in third down efficiency and 30th in red zone efficiency. The Ravens have received early contributions from rookie linebacker Patrick Queen, who leads Baltimore’s defense in tackles entering Sunday’s game.

Washington, after a surprising opening-season win in Philadelphia, has come back down to earth in recent weeks, losing 15 and 20-point games to the Cardinals and Browns, respectively. While its run defense was a large reason for their two losses, the bigger issue was the ineffective play of quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who threw three interceptions in last week’s loss in Cleveland. Haskins, as he did as a rookie, has had success getting the ball to former college teammate Terry McLaurin, who paces Washington with 269 receiving yards on 16 receptions. Speaking of former Ohio State players, rookie Chase Young, who recorded 2.5 sacks in Washington’s first three games, is expected to miss Sunday’s game with a groin injury.

Bills vs Raiders Live

The Buffalo Bills will take on the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. The Bills are currently enjoying a perfect season and are looking to extend their dominance.

This past Sunday, Buffalo narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Los Angeles Rams 35-32. Kudos to the oddsmakers for accurately forecasting both the winner and the close margin. Buffalo QB Josh Allen was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 311 yards on 33 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Allen ended up with a passer rating of 128.90.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas received a tough blow this past Sunday as they fell 36-20 to the New England Patriots. No one had a standout game offensively for the Raiders, but they got scores from WR Hunter Renfrow and TE Foster Moreau. QB Derek Carr ended up with a passer rating of 119.40.

Buffalo is now a perfect 3-0 while Las Vegas sits at 2-1. Two numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Buffalo enters the matchup with ten passing touchdowns, good for second best in the NFL. But the Raiders rank third in the league when it comes to passing touchdowns allowed, with only three on the season. These opposing strengths should make for an exciting matchup.

Browns vs Cowboys Live

The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Cleveland Browns at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Cleveland should still be feeling good after a victory, while the Cowboys will be looking to right the ship.

Dallas came up short against the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday, falling 38-31. The losing side was boosted by WR Ced Wilson, who caught five passes for two TDs and 107 yards.

The Dallas defensive unit accumulated four sacks for a loss of 20 yards. Leading the way was DE Aldon Smith and his three sacks. Smith now has four sacks through Week 3.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was able to grind out a solid win over the Washington Football Team this past Sunday, winning 34-20. Among those leading the charge for Cleveland was RB Nick Chubb, who rushed for two TDs and 108 yards on 19 carries.

Cleveland’s defense was a force to be reckoned with, as it collected three interceptions and two fumbles. Those interceptions were spread across their defensive unit.

The Cowboys are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are 0-2 against the spread when favored.

Dallas is now 1-2 while the Browns sit at a mirror-image 2-1. A couple offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Dallas ranks first in the NFL when it comes to yards per game, with 490.7 on average. Less enviably, Cleveland is stumbling into the contest with the second fewest passing yards per game in the league, having accrued only 188 on average.
